Guide

Why a message lands in spam.

Spam placement is a judgment by the receiving server. The common causes are authentication failures, a cold or purchased list, sudden volume, and content that looks like bulk mail. Start with the cause you can observe.

Causes you can check

If the domain has no SPF or DKIM, receivers have little reason to trust it. If the list has many invalid addresses, bounces train a bad reputation. If the first campaign is large, volume itself is a signal.

Content matters less than people think, and more than a single word-list suggests. A misleading subject, a link to an unrelated domain, and an image with almost no text are ordinary reasons to be filtered. So is mailing people who never asked.

What Mailwright will show you

A failed SMTP response is a fact. A verification failure is a reason not to send. An open is not proof the message left spam, because some filters load images. Use the failure and the bounce, then fix the list or the domain.
